Medieval Art and The Cloisters

I have been wanting to see The Cloisters for quite some time and I finally decided to pay my visit few days ago. The Cloisters is a museum in Upper Manhattan specializing in European medieval architecture, sculpture and decorative arts. The museum is today part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and has been described as the "crowning achievement of American museology."

As I entered The Cloisters I was completely overwhelmed by the beauty and architecture. It felt like I time traveled back to Europe. After spending 2 hours at The Cloisters I decided to get lost in Manhattan. I took a random train and stopped at a random stop just to see where I will end up. And lets just say that I was not disappointed. Here I was standing in front of the World Trade Center completely blown away by the architecture. I was so glad I decided to get lost and not use my phone to see where I was going. Sometimes you just have to disconnect to connect :)
